Quick Decal

Quick Decal is a simple yet powerful addon to add decals to your objects.
It achieves that by mixing your existing material with quick decal material.
In other words, you don't need the plane with subdivision and shrinkwrap modifiers.

The addon supports:

• Quixel Megascans decals
• Custom decals

How to use Quixel Megascans decals?

Following the instructions, you need to add the Megascans library downloaded path in the preferences under the Libraries section (decals need to be downloaded).

Once you add the path the addon will try to read the assetsData.json file.

Then you can see the Megascans decals with categories and subcategories in the Decals panel.

Then click Add Decal Layer to add a decal to the active object (ensure to have a material).

How to use Custom decals?

You need to add the custom decal library path.

Once you add the path, the addon will show the decals in the Decal panel (if available).

If you don't have any images in that path. You can load the decal.

Once you load a decal, it will save it in the custom decal library path for future use.

What are Layers?

Layers are the decal layers of an object that can be arranged up and down and removed.

Layer Wear

Quickly add wear and tear to the decal layer.

Caution

Don't edit or remove the QDecal Master node group and its child nodes inside.
